How to Change your IP Address?

Overview

The process of changing your IP address is legally allowed. Also, it’s a too easy and very simple method. The method I explain in this article is very safe and you don’t need to worry about your data privacy.

What is IP Address?

Before we learn the method of changing the IP address, we must be clear about the main concept of IP address.  We are familiar with the principal definition of IP address that represents a unique series of numbers that assign a specific 
location and data. 

When we connect different devices like routers, computer systems, or mobile phones to the internet then we must assign a unique IP address to those devices.

Because by assigning the IP address mean we create identification of such devices. After that, all devices easily communicate with the internet.

There are several methods of changing IP addresses but in this article, I explain only three and very popular methods.

Following are the Methods

By Unplug the router

Unplugging the router is the most common and very easiest way of changing your IP address.  You just need to unplug your router from the switch and wait at least 5 minutes, also in some case, it takes more than five minutes but its’ totally depend on your internet service provider.

How long does it’s take waiting time to renew your IP address and refresh your router?

Generally, it’s a procedure to make your router forget status.  So when we reconnect the router its works as a new user without any IP address and automatically assigns the new IP address.

Eventually, in some cases, this method repeats more than three-time or some time

you unplug your router for more than three hours. But you don’t need to worry, you

just have a patient. This method works perfectly and provides you a satisfactory

result.

Manually Change the IP address ( For Windows)

You just followed the steps that mention below.

• Open Control Panel
• Find Network Sharing and Click Change Adapter Settings and then click Network Connection
• Now you can check the different settings are available like ethernet and wifi. You just click according to your choice.
• Click internet protocol version Ip4 and select property
• Now here you can change your IP address easily

Manually Change the IP address ( For IOS)

•  Just find the Setting option and click on it
• You can find here an option of Network click on it
• Now find the  Configure IP or TCP and IP option 
•  Here you can find the option for upgrading or modification your IP address
•  Just modify your IP address and press ok

Manually change the IP address  ( For android )

• Open the Setting option
• Choose connection and select wifi
• Choose the current network and are connected with your device
• Now open the advance setting
• Now you can modify the IP address in the static option or DHCP option
• After assigning the IP address press to apply.
